Glendale business Jackpot Café busted for illegal gaming activities

GLENDALE, AZ - A Glendale business has been busted, suspected of conducting illegal gambling activities.

The Arizona Department of Gaming said that earlier this year it received a complaint of an internet café and amusement center that was possibly hosting illegal gaming activities.

On Friday, agents with the ADG, Glendale Police Department and Arizona Attorney's Office served search warrants at the Jackpot Café and a private residence of one of the suspects.

Agents seized more than 40 gambling devices, computers, a vehicle, over $940,000, according to a Monday news release.

Two patrons were arrested for unrelated charges.

During the investigation, agents confirmed Jackpot Café customers were playing slot machine type games to win cash.

The ADG also launched a financial investigation tracking money from the gambling activities to various accounts throughout the country, according to the news release.

No further arrests have been made and the investigation is still on-going.
