Fire at Glendale elementary school under investigation

GLENDALE, AZ - Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire at a Glendale elementary school.

Glendale Fire Department spokesman Danny Senese said they got a number of calls of smoke coming from Glenn F. Burton School, near 48th Avenue and Maryland Friday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they believed the fire was in the air conditioning system, but discovered the fire had started on an exterior wall and made its way to the roof.

The fire was quickly contained and now investigators are looking into the cause.
