FD: Man suffers medical emergency, crashes into tree in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ - An 81-year-old man is fighting for his life after crashing his car into a tree Monday night.

Glendale firefighter Danny Senese told ABC15 the accident happened around 7 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Beardsley Road.

Senese said the man suffered a "medical emergency" before he ran off the road.

When crews got to the scene, the man had no pulse and firefighters determined it was due to the medical condition, not the crash.

Senese said firefighters were able to revive him on scene. He was transported to Arrowhead Hospital in critical condition.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
