GLENDALE, AZ - Fire officials say a 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was found at the bottom of a Glendale swimming pool.
Glendale fire spokesman Danny Cenese said the 3-year-old boy made his way into the backyard near 75th Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
He was alone at the time and somehow made it over a small fence, Cenese said.
The boy reportedly was found at the bottom of the green pool that was not maintained.
Cenese said it's unclear at this time if the home belonged to a babysitter or family member.
Paramedics were able to regain a pulse and transport the boy Phoenix Children's Hospital. He remained in very critical condition Tuesday evening.
