Police are investigating after a man jumped off the I-17 overpass and died Sunday night.
Officials said DPS officers got a call around 7:20 p.m. that a person was climbing on the fence of the northern overpass on Interstate 17.
When officers arrived on scene, the man had already jumped from the overpass and had been hit by at least three vehicles.
Phoenix police spokesman Steve Martos said the man in his 20's died of his injuries. He is not being identified at this time.
Officials said no one else was hurt during the incident.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 17 at Northern Avenue were closed for at least four hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
