GLENDALE, AZ - A security guard at the Arizona State Hospital has been arrested on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after a woman found bags filled with hundreds of drawings showing child pornography in the trash at a Glendale apartment complex.
According to court documents, the trash bags contained sketches, printed images of young nude boys, shredded pictures, a broken laptop computer, printers, a shredder and miscellaneous flash drives.
Other materials, including mail and personal photographs suggested the items belonged to Roger James Forney.
The documents say most of the content and internet history on the hard drive was related to young boys and bondage.
Detectives searched the 48-year-old suspect's home on Sunday and Forney was arrested.
Forney eventually confessed to trying to destroy everything and throwing it in the dumpster because of an FBI warning that popped up on his locked computer.
Forney also reportedly admitted to being sexually attracted to young boys but said he does not actually have any victims.
According to the documents, Forney said he was happy to be caught after all these years so he can get help for his "evil."
Forney is a retired MP in the Army/National Guard. He said he lived alone and no one else had access to the materials found.
