GLENDALE, AZ - One person is dead after three Phoenix police detectives opened fire on a man with outstanding warrants, said Glendale police.
The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. near 43rd and Olive avenues in the City of Glendale.
Glendale police Officer Tracey Breeden said the Phoenix detectives showed up to arrest the man and when he turned around, they perceived he had a gun in his hand. All three officers fired their gun killing the 62-year-old suspect.
The unidentified man was wanted for weapons violations, trafficking stolen property and a probation violation, Breeden said.
It is unclear if the man did or did not have a gun, investigators told ABC15.
