The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find a woman who allegedly left her dog in a car in Buckeye.

MCSO said on April 6, 41-year-old Mary Newell-Finger left her dog locked in her car while she shopped at a Walmart shopping center off Watson Road.

According to MCSO, Finger was seen parking her vehicle and walking into a local business with her car off and the windows closed.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian and it appears he will not have lasting health issues.

The dog is at the MCSO MASH Unit for care.

MCSO said they have made several attempts to locate the suspect but have not been successful.
