MCSO: 16-year-old teenager charged as juvenile in abduction of sisters in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, AZ - A 16-year-old Buckeye girl without a driver's license is in trouble with the law after allegedly taking off in a family vehicle with two younger sisters.

Authorities say the 1 6-year-old was babysitting her 1-year-old and 8-year-old siblings at their home Saturday when she drove off with them in her mother's SUV.

The teenager has been charged as a juvenile with two counts of custodial interference, two counts of endangerment and one count of theft, said an MCSO official.

An Amber Alert was issued and canceled early Sunday morning when the girls returned to the home unharmed about a half-day after they left the home.
