A fatal crash in Tonopah shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at 411th Avenue for several hours Thursday.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a commercial vehicle and a pickup truck that had a trailer attached to it collided shortly before 5 p.m. The road re-opened around 11:15 p.m.
The pickup truck rear ended the commercial vehicle, and the male front seat passenger in the truck was killed. Both drivers of the truck and commercial vehicle sustained minor injuries during the collision and were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Troopers do not know why the truck collided with the commercial vehicle, but they are investigating.
