Three people have been transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle rollover collision in Buckeye.

The incident happened after 10 p.m. on Sunday in the area of MC-85 and milepost 145.

DPS says a driver swerved to avoid hitting a coyote in the road causing him to roll his vehicle and then collide with another car.

The driver of the rolled vehicle needed to be airlifted to the hospital for treatment. There were two people in the other vehicle, an adult and a child, who were also transported to the hospital for treatment. None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.

DPS advises drivers to continue driving if they come across wildlife in the roadway if the animal is coyote-sized or smaller.
