BUCKEYE, AZ - A 20-year-old Valley man faces several charges after he allegedly met a 14-year-old girl on the Internet then went to her home and forced her to have sex with him.
According to court documents, Devonte Tyrone Harris made contact with the girl on the Internet where he got her address.
Harris reportedly drove into the neighborhood and was spotted by a neighbor who wrote down the car's license plate number.
Harris allegedly returned to the neighborhood the following week where he went to the victim's house and she let him inside.
Police say Harris forced the 14-year-old to have several different forms of sex with him and then left the home.
Authorities say the girl suffered injuries from the alleged assault.
Harris was picked out of a photo lineup by the victim and the neighbor.
He was located near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road and taken into custody without incident.
Harris was interviewed by Buckeye police detectives and he admitted to knowing the victim and thinking she was 16 years old.
Harris was reported as saying, "I should never gone over there," when asked if he knew the victim.
Harris was booked into jail on three counts each of molestation of a child, sexual conduct with a minor and sexual assault.
