LOS ANGELES - There was a very special guest from the Valley in the audience at the American Music Awards.
Megan Squire made the trip from Buckeye. She's the Verrado High School cheerleader who inspired her classmates to make a video for Katy Perry's "Roar" contest.
They didn't win, but the consolation prize isn't too shabby.
In a once in a lifetime experience, Squire and her family got to walk the red carpet and attend the AMAs.
It all started Friday night when Megan and her family flew to Los Angeles.
On Saturday she met Katy Perry for the first time. Then, on Sunday, Megan got to walk the red carpet and attend the American Music Awards.
To top it all off, Squire got to meet Taylor Swift backstage who told her she looked beautiful.
