BUCKEYE, AZ - A hay fire in the West Valley is creating a plume of smoke that can be seen for miles across the Valley.
Buckeye Valley Fire Department spokeswoman Karen Alexander said crews are working to put out the fire burning near Tuthill and Germann roads in Buckeye.
Alexander said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
She said it is expected the fire will burn for quite some time.
Air15 video showed stacks of hay on fire inside at least two open structures and also surrounding those structures.
Alexander said anyone in the area with a breathing problem or condition should stay indoors to avoid the smoke.
