'Banner Children's Healthmobile' traveling around Valley to offer free health services

BUCKEYE, AZ - 'Banner Children's Healthmobile' will travel around the Valley to offer children and students, up to age 21, free health visits.

The colorful bus is a licensed outpatient treatment center that will operate like a mobile doctor's office. 

Patients will be able to receive treatment for health problems, physicals for camp or sports, and routine annual check-ups. There will be a nurse practitioner on board to provide primary care without charge.

Banner Health expects to treat an additional 2,500 uninsured and underinsured patients each year with the mobile clinic. Operating costs are covered by community donations.

The bus will be stopped at the following locations:

Mondays: Buckeye Elementary School
210 South 6th Street, Buckeye
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesdays: TBA

Wednesdays: Maricopa Elementary School
18150 N. Alterra Parkway, Maricopa
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursdays: Banner Ironwood Medical Center
37000 N. Gantzel Road, San Tan Valley
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
