7 killed in head-on crash west of Phoenix identified

PHOENIX - The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office has released the names of seven people killed in a crash west of the Valley last weekend.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. Sunday near the Burnt Wells rest area at milepost 87 when a westbound tractor-trailer crossed over the median and struck a passenger van that was traveling eastbound, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The seven people killed were riding in the van.

They have been identified as Lanna Flood, 51, Tara Ferris, 32, Tylor Harper, 16, Jullian Flores, 12, Damion Cuadros, 11, Dominic Cuadros, 10. All were members of the Colorado River Indian Tribe.

Also killed was Tori Sanchez, 13.

The driver of the tractor-trailer and his wife survived the crash.
