AVONDALE, AZ - Three people are facing charges after an explosion at a Avondale home on Sunday.
When officials arrived at the home near Dysart and Buckeye Road they found three people with burns to their faces and arms.
All three were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
After an investigation it was discovered that the suspects were in the garage attempting to produce Hashish Oil from Marijuana, Avondale police said.
One of the suspects walked into the garage and lit a cigarette or had a lighted cigarette which caused a flash fire and explosion, police said.
The explosion caused a roll up garage door to detach from the home and land near the street.
Five people were inside the home at the time of the explosion, including 4 children.
No one inside the home was injured. The children were in temporary custody of Child Protective Services.
Avondale police have not released the name of the suspects. They will be facing the following charges: Arson of an Occupied Structure, Possession of Marijuana and Endangerment.
