The Avondale Police Department is investigating a Twitter post that made a threatening reference to Agua Fria High School as well as other Valley schools.
The post was first noticed and sent to police Tuesday night. The exact message used in the post has not been released.
Police have not said whether or not any schools had extra police on campus Wednesday.
Avondale police say the threat is not believed to be substantiated, but they will continue to monitor the incident.
The threat comes as multiple Valley schools have seen "clown" threats.
