Authorities let Avondale house fire burn after inside was engulfed in flames

AVONDALE, AZ - An Avondale house became engulfed in flames after a fire started in a bedroom and spread throughout the entire house Monday.

Officials said the fire started around 3:30 p.m. near 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

Sgt. Brandon Busse said that nobody was inside of the single-story house at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. 

It is unknown how many people lived at the house, but firefighters said the residents were notified of the significant damage to the inside of their home.

Officials said the residents will not be able to return to the home, but arrangements are being made for a place for them to stay.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
