Westbound Loop 202 crash causes major delays near Scottsdale Road

TEMPE, AZ - All westbound lanes are back open on the Loop 202 in Tempe after a five-vehicle crash caused major delays Friday morning.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the injury crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on westbound Loop 202 just past Scottsdale Road.

There were initially just two open lanes, which caused a big backup up to Alma School Road.

All lanes were back open around 8:20 a.m., according to ADOT.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said there were five vehicles involved in the collision, but no other details were available.
