TEMPE, AZ - Family and friends paid tribute Monday night to beloved icon and star of the "Wallace and Ladmo Show," Bill Thompson.
The "Celebration of Life," held at the Harkins Cine Capri in Tempe, included watching some of Thompson's greatest work and hearing from some of his closest friends.
Thompson passed away on July 23 at the age of 82.
The "Wallace and Ladmo" show aired on KPHO for 36 years making it the longest-running daily, locally produced children's television shows in American broadcasting history.
Thompson's family is asking that any donations in his honor go to either the Banner Health Foundation for Cardon Children's Medical Center or the Arizona Humane Society.
