TEMPE, AZ - A commercial bank is expanding its mortgage operations center to Tempe, Ariz. and will be bringing 250 jobs to the area.
Union Bank, a full-service commercial bank, whose headquarters are based in San Francisco, is planning to open its first mortgage operations center in Arizona.
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, Union Bank Executive Vice President Jim Francis, along with the Arizona Commerce Authority and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council made the announcement at a Thursday afternoon press conference.
The bank is looking to employ application processors, underwriters and other operations and management positions.
The bank will be operating out of a 42,000 square-foot space located at Papago Spectrum, 1225 West Washington St. in Tempe. The center is looking to begin operations this summer.
