Tempe Union High School District going 'green'

TEMPE, AZ - A $25,000 grant from Intel Corporation is giving teachers from the Tempe Union High School District the opportunity to participate in a sustainability training workshop.

This week, 47 teachers will attend the workshop at Intel and Rio Salado Community College.

This all comes after the Tempe Union High School District said they reached out to business community members for assistance on how to "go green."

Teachers say they hope to be exposed to sustainability research, how it pertains to education and how they can incorporate it into their lessons.
