Authorities are looking for a man who was caught exposing himself in the chapel of a Catholic school and church Wednesday.

Tempe Police spokeswoman Molly Enright said the incident  happened shortly after noon at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church near Broadway and Rural roads.

Enright said a parent observed the man masturbating through an open door of the church and immediately reported the incident to school officials who called police.

The man disappeared before anyone could locate him.

The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male with brown or blonde hair. He is approximately 30-35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing wire rim, prescription-style glasses, a blue t-shirt with a graphic design and dark shorts or pants.

Police said no students witnessed or were involved in the incident.

School administrators reported the incident to parents so they were aware of what happened.

ABC15 spoke with parents who were very disturbed by the incident and worried about their children.

They said they just want the suspect caught.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect can contact Tempe Police at 480-350-8311.
