Police are telling other Valley law enforcement agencies to be on their guard after a shooting Wednesday night.

Officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. to Final Round Sports Bar near Mill Avenue and Baseline Road.

Police said rival biker gangs, the Hell's Angels and Mongols, got into an argument inside the bar. As the groups made their way outside, shots were fired and two people were hit.

“I lean over my balcony, and I see two gentlemen arguing in the parking lot,” said one witness who did not want to share his name. “The next thing you know, he shoots the other guy about six times or so and took off on his motorcycle.”

One man was declared deceased on scene, and a second was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive.

Police said three people were arrested in connection with the shooting. Tempe officers said their alert to other departments comes from a concern for their comrades in law enforcement.

“To make sure they are aware and alert and being open to the security measures around the state,” said Tempe Police Sgt. Josie Montenegro.

Many witnesses ABC15 talked to said they were shocked by what they saw, but none agreed to give their names.

“I did see some guy holding his throat and saw blood spraying,” said another man who did not want us to show his face.

“It gets your adrenaline going, and it’s scary for sure,” said one witness.
