Tempe police identify victim in shooting as Charla Faust, suspect Jon Brazel still missing

TEMPE, AZ - Authorities identified a woman killed in a shooting Tuesday in Tempe.

Sgt. Mike Pooley of Tempe Police identified the victim Wednesday as 33-year-old Charla Faust.

Faust was shot and killed around 2:30 p.m. outside an apartment complex near Rural and Guadalupe roads, according to police. A neighbor was also injured in the shooting and was transported to a local hospital.

John Brazel, 33, has been named a person of interest in the shooting and is currently being sought by police. He was reportedly seen fleeing the scene in a white Chevy Tahoe with an Arizona license plate number BDY6785.

Police said the vehicle has a sticker of a rifle located on the back windshield.

Police said Brazel is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or his vehicle, please call 911.
