TEMPE, AZ - Police say a man responsible for setting at least seven fires in Tempe is behind bars.
Tempe police spokeswoman Molly Enright said on Sunday, police and fire crews responded to multiple dumpster fires and a car fire in the area of University and Priest Drives.
When officers arrived to the scene, they caught Cody Nimrod, 26, setting another fire in the area of Hardy and Laird Streets.
Enright said Nimrod was arrested based on evidence collected at the scene and statements made by Nimrod admitting responsibility for the fires.
Nimrod was transported to the Tempe City jail and booked for felony arson of a residential structure, as well as misdemeanor reckless burning.
Enright said no injuries or deaths occurred as a result of the fires.
