TEMPE, AZ - Tempe authorities have arrested four individuals believed to be connected to a series of armed robberies at various pizza locations.
Officer Gregory Duarte, spokesman for the Tempe Police Department, said 18-year-olds Aaron Islas, Julio Lugo, Jorge Ramirez-Flores and 17-year-old Anthony Gonzales admitted to being involved in at least three armed robberies at Little Caesar's restaurants in Tempe.
Duarte said the individuals may also be connected to four armed robberies in Phoenix but was unable to provide specifics as those alleged acts were committed outside of Tempe's jurisdiction.
The four individuals would enter a Little Caesar's restaurant and display a gun and note demanding money from the cash register, said Duarte.
He also said the three armed robberies involved a combination of the four suspects, but they didn't always commit the acts together.
He said there are no outstanding suspects related to the case.
Ramirez-Flores and Gonzales have been charged with two counts of armed robbery, a Class 2 felony. Lugo and Islas were charged with one count of armed robbery.
