Tempe PD searching for assault suspects

TEMPE, AZ - Tempe police have issued a community alert after two women were assaulted in their homes.

Lt. Michael Pooley with the Tempe Police Department says both incidents happened near 5th Street and University Drive.

Pooley said both times, the suspect entered through an unlocked door.

The first incident occurred on March 27 around 4:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a white male, early to mid- 20’s, 6 feet tall with a heavy build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and eye glasses.

The second incident occurred on Friday, August 8 at around 3 a.m. The suspect is described as a white male who is approximately 20‐30 years old.

Authorities said the incidents are similar in nature, but it has not been determined if they are related.

Police say the suspects in both of these assaults have not been located or identified at this time.
