The Tempe Fire Department says four people were injured during a crash involving multiple cars on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the intersection of Baseline and Rural roads around 4:30 p.m. after learning of a three-car accident.
According to Tempe Fire, four people were injured in the crash and one person was taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
