Suspect wanted for aggravated robbery and vehicle theft in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ - Silent Witness is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a male suspected of aggravated robbery and vehicle theft.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, the suspect approached the victim in a parking lot at Southern Avenue and 48th Street.

As the victim attempted to get into his car, the suspect grabbed him by the neck and punched him on the side of the head, according to the Silent Witness report.

The suspect took the victim's keys, wallet and cell phone and then fled in the victim's car heading toward 48th Street.

The victim's car was recovered a week later near 48th Street and Broadway.

His credit card was used by the suspect at the Walmart at 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix.

In the report, the suspect is described as a 6 foot tall black male in his late teens or early 20's with a thin build.

At the time of the incident, he had a black "fade" style haircut and was wearing a red t-shirt, green athletic shorts and black athletic shoes.
