The driver of a motorized scooter was struck by an SUV and killed in Tempe on Monday night.
According to the Tempe Police Department, a 38-year-old man was on the scooter near 16th Street and Priest Drive.
The scooter was struck by an SUV; the man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries where he later passed away.
Police believe the male driver of the SUV may have been impaired at the time of the collision. He was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures. No others were in the man's SUV.
