More information is coming to light about a stabbing in Tempe Wednesday morning.

Authorities were called to a home near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard after receiving reports of an injured person.

According to a police spokesperson, 31-year-old Nathaniel Sims allegedly stabbed his brother in the neck during an altercation.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Police were initially looking for the suspect but took him into custody shortly after the incident occurred.

Sims was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault of an officer. 

Bond was set at $10,000 and his next court appearance is slated for Nov 30.
