Goverment-seized cars up for auction in the Valley

GUADALUPE, AZ - How would you like to drive home in a Cadillac Escalade or maybe a BMW or Jaguar?

More than 30 government-seized vehicles are going up for auction Saturday morning at Apple Towing in Guadalupe.

From a 1927 Ford Roadster to a 1968 Camaro, there's a wide selection of high end vehicles all the way down to mid-sized family cars.

You can view the cars that will be auctioned off from now until 5 p.m. Friday and then again Saturday morning starting at 7 a.m.

The auction gets going at 9 a.m. Saturday at Apple Towing, which is located at 5720 East Mineral Road behind Castle Furniture. See the location on Google Maps.

The auction is part of the Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture Program, and Lu Himmelstein with the U.S. Marshals Service said proceeds are used to fund victim restitution.

She said they are also shared with state and local law enforcement partners to further public safety efforts in local communities.
