TEMPE, AZ - A deadly accident forced eastbound Interstate 10 at the U.S. 60 to shut down for over two hours Tuesday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident happened just south of the Interstate 10/ U.S. 60 split near Baseline Road.
The Arizona Department of Transportation set up a road closure just after 5:15 a.m. The freeway reopened just before 7 a.m.
DPS spokesperson Bart Graves said, the one vehicle crash involved a male who DPS believes had a medical emergency that forced him to lose control of his vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle has not been identified at this time.
