TEMPE, AZ - With several events going on in Tempe this weekend, some say that Mill Avenue was the place to be.
Others, though, said it was a place to avoid.
Besides the game between ASU and Stanford, Tempe is hosting an art festival, women's basketball tournament, swim festival on campus and two showings of "Evita" at ASU Gammage.
Earlier in the day the energy was high among the crowds but after ASU lost to Stanford, they were much quieter as they left downtown Tempe.
Extra security was brought in as a precaution, but nothing appeared to get out of hand.
Regardless of Saturday night's loss, Sun Devil fans are still proud of their team.
"It was an exciting season," said ASU student Payson Clark. "This is my senior year and compared to all the last season this has been really fun. The spirit that they brought to the city has been way fun compared to the last seasons."
