Road reopens in Tempe after deadly crash

TEMPE, AZ - A serious accident was reported around 1:15 p.m. Saturday near Apache Boulevard and McClintock Drive in Tempe.

According to Tempe police, there was one fatality and several others were seriously injured after the two-vehicle crash.

It is believed that the crash was caused when a green sedan struck a bronze Ford in the intersection.

Five people were reported to be in the sedan and one of the back seat passengers, a man in his 20s, was reportedly the individual pronounced dead.

Four other people in the car needed to be extricated from the vehicle.

No other information was immediately known.
