The westbound lanes of the US 60 near Mill Avenue were shut down Friday afternoon causing huge delays while crews worked to clear the scene of an accident.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Carrick R. Cook said were two separate crashes involving 10 vehicles in that area.
Cook said it does not appear anyone suffered life-threatening injuries in the crashes.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the US 60 westbound has reopened, but there is still a big backup approaching Priest.
Commuters are being advised to avoid the area.
