PCSO learns identity of man found wandering in San Tan Valley neighborhood

SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ - Pinal County sheriff's deputies have been able to identify a man found wandering in a neighborhood in San Tan Valley Tuesday morning.

Sheriff's spokesman Elias Johnson said the man was found in the area of 28000 Saddle Way and appeared to be lost.

Paul Halbert, 73, did not have any identification with him, nor could he tell deputies where he lives.

He was taken to Banner Ironwood Hospital for evaluation where his wife identified him.

Halbert had been been wandering in the neighborhood for about half an hour before being picked up by PCSO deputies.

He was not hurt and did not need medical attention.

Halbert's wife learned of her husband's whereabouts through a PCSO news release and says her husband has advanced Alzheimer's.
