Authorities are searching for an armed man after a short foot-chase in Mesa.
A Salt River police officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Brown Road and Mesa Drive around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
When the car did not immediately stop, the officer followed the car through multiple side streets before it went into a cul-de-sac, a Salt River police spokesperson said.
The officer stopped following the car and called Mesa police for assistance.
A man and woman got out of the car; both carrying firearms, officials said.
No shots were fired but the pair fled the area on-foot. The woman was arrested shortly after, however, the man has not been located.
