Police: Mesa man, Dennis Edward Crabtree, found with 200,000 images of child porn

MESA, AZ - A 64-year-old Mesa man has been arrested for collecting and distributing over 200,000 images of child pornography, according to police.

Dennis Edward Crabtree admitted to detectives that he was collecting and using the child porn images, but denied any physical contact with children, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump.

Detectives found small child figurines, DVDs and several cameras inside his apartment near Broadway and Lindsay roads, police said. Digital evidence suggesting the suspect had access to young girls was also found.

The children depicted in the photos appear to be between the ages of 6 and 12 years old, according to police. Crabtree reportedly admitted to being sexually attracted to children.

The man was booked on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

This is the largest collection of child pornography located by Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force this year.

Authorities are now looking to identify the children. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the task force at 623-466-1828.
