PD: Suspect broke into cars, stole purses in Mesa

MESA, AZ - A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to help police catch a woman suspected of breaking into two vehicles in Mesa and taking the victims’ purses.

Silent Witness is offering the reward after the suspect broke into the vehicles on Thursday July 10 in east Mesa.

The first break-in occurred at a daycare center near Hampton Avenue and Sossaman Road in which a purse was stolen.

On the same day, another vehicle parked at a park near Southern Avenue and Val Vista Drive was broken into and the victim’s purse was stolen, along with a checkbook.

A suspect in the surveillance photo tried to cash one of the stolen checks at TruWest Credit Union near 52nd and Roosevelt streets in Phoenix.
