MESA, AZ - Natives of Oklahoma who moved to the Valley have been glued to social media in hopes of learning about their loved ones.
A deadly tornado roared through Oklahoma City suburbs Monday flattening entire neighborhoods.
"It was very scary," said Kristy Geiler, who was raised in Moore, Oklahoma. "Nobody's answering their phones."
Geiler spoke to ABC15 from her Mesa home and said most of the destruction was about half a mile from her family's home.
"I would say 99% of my family lives right there," she said.
Geiler plans to return to Moore next month for her 20-year high school reunion, assuming it won't be canceled.
Donations to help the victims can be made through the American Red Cross .
