Police in Mesa say they've located a 9-year-old girl who went missing around 10 a.m. on Sunday near 40th Street and Broadway Road.

Police say Jade Coyle showed up at her apartment complex around 10 a.m. Monday. She appears to be in good condition. The girl's relatives called Mesa police around 7 p.m. Sunday to report her disappearance.

"She had been either with a friend or another family member or something of that nature overnight," Mesa Det. Steve Berry said.  "Why that info hadn't been related back to grandparents and people at home - we don't know."

ABC15 aired exclusive video of the girl speaking to officers Monday. She had a cell phone and extra clothes with her.

"We want to be sure that she's being cared for appropriately, that she's is being appropriately watched, and those are certainly thing our detectives will look into," Berry said.
