MESA, AZ - Officials are on scene of an early morning homicide in Mesa.
According to Mesa police spokesperson Sgt. Tony Landato, police responded to shots fired just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday in the area of 2nd Street and Spencer.
When police arrived they found a deceased 30-year-old white female with at least one possible gunshot wound, Landato said.
Mesa police believe the incident involved a dispute between two groups of people.
One group was in a house gathering on Spencer and another group was in a vehicle in the same area.
According to police it is unclear if it was one sided, or if gunfire was exchanged between both groups.
There are no suspects in custody.
