Mesa man, Christopher Clark, accused of stashing child porn on home computer

MESA, AZ - A Mesa man accused of downloading child pornography is out of jail and back at his home near Brown and Greenfield roads.

Christopher Clark, 54, is charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Maricopa County deputies were tipped off about Clark from a company Tiversa, which monitored the files the suspect was sharing, detectives stated in their report.

Investigators said they were concerned about Clark because his wife regularly babysits children in the neighborhood.

"We don't know what to believe," said Brittany Steffen.

Steffen told ABC15 that Clark's wife watches her children four to five days a week for nine hours each day.

"We never suspected anything," she said.

Clark told detectives that he tried to quit watching child pornography six months ago after his wife caught him viewing it, but his "obsession and addiction is something he cannot stop," the report states.

Clark told the investigator that he never took any of the photographs or video.

He also admitted to downloading bestiality images, detectives said.

Clark's attorney insisted that his client will be fighting the charges.
