MESA, AZ - A Mesa man has been arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation by Homeland Security agents.
According to court documents, Michael Dean Ross, 41, was first questioned on March 1 after he began posting on a Russian file sharing website known to be used to trade child pornography.
Authorities say Ross posted sexually suggestive comments on posted images of child erotica.
Ross initially denied owning the account on the file sharing site, however later admitted he was the account holder.
A search warrant was executed at his Mesa residence where agents found a DVD in his bedroom with images of child pornography and erotica. There was also a file on the disc with the name of a minor child victim. Officials say the file included images taken when the child appeared to be sleeping in Ross's bedroom with the victim's underwear exposed, and pictures of the child playing on the floor while wearing a skirt with her underwear exposed, focusing on her groin area.
Ross was booked into jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of voyeurism. All are felony charges.
