Thursday, the aunt's manager at her job, Crackers and Co. Cafe, took action, setting up a car wash in the parking lot near the cafe, in effort to money for the girl's family.

"I'm a mother of seven. So losing a child is very…it's just very heartbreaking," said manager Angelica Overley.

Police said the little girl was riding her bike just ahead of her parents while out on a walk Saturday night, July 12.

Police said the driver ran a red light, but  was not impaired. The driver stopped after the crash and is investigating with authorities.

In the meantime, Overley is here to offer Vasquez a shoulder to lean on.

"Just to hold on to each other and not blame anybody. Just hold on and be there for each other," said Overley.

Funeral services for Mendoza are scheduled for Friday.
