First responders descend on Valley for real-life training

MESA, AZ - Emergency responders from all across the country are coming to Mesa to get state-of-the-art training.

Mesa Community College is home to the Virtual Incident Command Center, where trainees learn how to react to different scenarios, from fires to explosions to shootings.

Many Valley fire departments enroll their crews in classes so when a real fire happens, they keep you and your family safe.

Instructor Bobby Miller said it's the most real-to-life training they can get anywhere.

Trainees experience situations like they would on the job and react to the chaos, pressure and confusion of it all.

Miller took us on a tour of the VICC Tuesday.
