MESA, AZ - A handful of East Valley agencies are taking part in life-like training on Tuesday to keep you safe in case a disaster strikes.
The emergency situation training is happening at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport from 8:00-11:00 a.m.
Multiple agencies are taking part including the FAA, TSA, local police and fire, the Red Cross and airlines.
It may look real with police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and about 80 people acting as casualties, but it's just a drill. Airport officials say the training will not disrupt any flights.
The situations will include a massive plane crash and a bomb threat.
Training like this happens in the East Valley every three years.
